Pomeroy is a $19 macOS menu-bar app that connects Claude and other AI assistants to Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Weather and Shortcuts over MCP.

Pomeroy is a macOS menu-bar app. It holds the permissions your Mac guards — your calendar, your mail, your messages — and serves them to an AI assistant as MCP tools. You choose which apps the assistant can reach, one switch at a time, and every switch starts off.

Ask Claude “what’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back, from your Mac, without you pasting anything in.

What Pomeroy does

Pomeroy connects an assistant to ten apps on your Mac:

Each app is a switch. Switch it off and the assistant cannot reach it, whatever it is asked.

What Pomeroy refuses to do

Pomeroy is read-mostly. Its tools read and search, create where you would expect it, and stop there.

It can

• Search and read your mail, messages and notes
• Create an event, a reminder or a note
• Change an event you name, or mark a reminder done
• Run a Shortcut you built yourself

It cannot

• Send mail, or send or answer a message
• Delete anything, in any app
• Create, edit or delete a contact
• Read your screen, or any app’s interface

What you need

1. A Mac running macOS 15 or later

   Pomeroy is a Mac app only. There is no iPhone, iPad or Windows version.

2. An AI assistant that speaks MCP

   Claude Desktop is the one most people start with, and it is free. Twenty-four assistants set themselves up from Pomeroy’s panel, and Pomeroy also serves an HTTP endpoint on loopback for a container, a VM or a runner.

What it costs

Pomeroy is free for 50 actions a week, with no account and no card. One action is one use of one app: one mail search, one look at your calendar, one reminder added. $19 once removes the weekly limit — there is no subscription — and there is a 14-day refund for any reason.
